Petite Arvine

Petite Arvine is a white wine grape planted in the Aosta Valley region in Italy and in the Valais region of Switzerland.

Petite Arvine has a brilliant straw yellow color with young green highlights. The wine has rich texture with piercing mineralogy on the palate. Long finish with lingering sea salt and mineral overtones.  It can typically be enjoyed with cheeses, seafoods, white meat and salami.

Petite Arvine has a reputation as a unique grape variety, and is seen as the best white wine grape of the regions. Its wines are rich in extract from its thick-skinned berries. Overall, wines produced from this varietal are made of very high quality.

Food Pairing: Petite Arvine can typically be enjoyed with cheese fondue and other typical Swiss foods. Seafoods such as lobster, oyster and sushi make for a good pairing as well. Also very good with white meat and salami.

Taste: Fragrant and fruity with mineral overtones.

Fruit: Notes of grapefruit, lemon, sliced apple and lime.

Acidity: Bright acidity.

Tannin: Little to no bitterness.
